A Brief History of An Nasr Mosque
The establishment of the An-Nashr Foundation began with the existence of the An-Nashr Mosque provided by PT Jaya Real Property as a development of the Bintaro area, for Muslim residents, especially residents of Bintaro Jaya Sector 5. traveling) which is to carry out the Tarawih Ramadhan Prayer activities which move from one house to another.
The congregation who took part in the tarling agreed that the Bintaro Jaya Sector 5 housing environment must have a mosque as a permanent place of worship and not move around. Based on the agreement, the Tarling congregation and residents of Bintaro Jaya Sector 5 raised funds, eventually collecting some funds to buy a 1000 m2 plot of land.2 outside the Bintaro Jaya housing estate. The land is located behind a wall that separates the Bintaro Jaya housing estate from the residential area of Jalan Puyung Timur. After owning the land, the residents notified and applied for a mosque construction permit to PT Jaya Real Property.
PT Jaya Real Property responded by building a mosque on 2,900 sqm land of social facilities and public facilities.2 which has been handed over by PT Jaya Real Property to the Tangerang district government, located on Jalan Bintaro Utama Sector 5. For Muslim residents of Bintaro Jaya Sector 5 the existence of this mosque is truly God's help, considering the location and area of land where the mosque was built, it is much better and wider than 1000 m . of land2 which exists.
In early 1997 the mosque was operational under the name Masjid Bintaro Jaya Sector 5, and in May 1997 PT Jaya Real Property officially issued a letter of recommendation for the mosque's management. Based on the results of the deliberations of community leaders from Bintaro Jaya Sector 5, including Prof. KH. M. Ali Yafie, who proposed changing the name of the mosque to "An-Nasr Mosque", this name was agreed to remember the history of the mosque's existence.
An-Nasr is the name of one of the surahs in the Al-Qur'an which means "Help", so this mosque is a place for mutual help and brotherhood Islamiyah for the Muslim community of BIntaro Jaya Sector 5 and the wider Muslim community.
In order to improve the performance and role of the An-Nasr Mosque for the people, in September 2003 the An-Nasr Foundation was established by community leaders from Bintaro Jaya Sector 5. This foundation has been approved by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number: C -84.HT.01.02.TH 2004 on February 5, 2004.
