Complementing the existence of the Al-Azhar Summarecon Bekasi Islamic School, PT. Summarecon Agung, TBK through the Syiar Bangsa Foundation built the Al-Azhar Grand Mosque which is located in the commercial and residential area of Summarecon Bekasi, not only to be used as a center for worship and religious symbols, but also to meet the needs as a means of gathering and harmony among the people of Bekasi City and its surroundings. .
The mosque which was inaugurated on November 26, 2013 in conjunction with the Al-Azhar Summarecon Bekasi Islamic School and the Bekasi Summarecon Area Shuttle Bus, was attended by the Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi accompanied by the commissioners and directors of PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, the Syiar Bangsa Foundation and the Islamic Islamic Boarding School Foundation ( YPI) Al Azhar, a mosque built on an area of 2000 m2, with a total building area of 1,320 m2 and can accommodate worshipers with a total of 1,200 people. This mosque has a semi-basement floor that can be used as a multi-purpose room with a hall area of approximately 260 m2, and is also equipped with 3 pre-function rooms.
