Opportunity to Gain His Ridho and Heaven By Helping Others

There is no practice that Allah loves, the Messenger of Allah recommended outside of worship such as prayer, fasting, dhikr and others, then it is the practice of helping others.

Anas bin malik said, “Once we were with Prophet Muhammad, and the most sheltered among us are those who take shelter in their clothes, as for those who fast they do nothing while those who do not fast they send camels to ride, work and treat. The Prophet then said, "Those who break their fast on this day buy up their reward.". (Narrated by Bukhari).

In this case, the figure of Abu Bakr Ash-Siddiq is an extraordinary example, in a day he can do more than one practice which is very strongly related to helping others. One day the Prophet asked, "Which of you is fasting today?" Abu Bakr replied, "I am the Messenger of Allah." The Prophet asked again, "Which of you has delivered the body today?" Abu Bakr replied, "I am the Messenger of Allah.".

Rasulullah again said, "Which of you is feeding the poor today?" Abu Bakr again replied, "I am the Messenger of Allah." Rasulullah then asked again, "Which of you visited the sick today? Abu Bakr replied, "I am the Messenger of Allah.".

Then the Messenger of Allah said: "If all the deeds of a person are collected like this, he will surely enter Paradise."

HR. Muslim

Through this hadith, it is as if the Prophet conveyed an implied message, that fasting should not prevent someone from actively helping others. Moreover, they feel fasting just because they have been diligent in fasting. Who could HELP EACH OTHER in various matters such as helping the funeral of the dead, feeding the poor and visiting the sick, then his rank will be higher in the sight of Allah and His Messenger.

And, the scope of helping others is not limited to this explanation. Anas bin Malik said: “We were chasing a rabbit in Marruzh Zhahran. People ran after him until they got tired, then I ran until I caught him. I then handed it over to Abu Talha. Abu Talha then sent his tail or thigh to the Prophet , and he accepted it." (Narrated by Bukhari).

In other words, there are many things that we can achieve to gain virtue with Allah انه الى by growing SPIRIT OF HELPING PEOPLE. Such as giving first opportunities to fellow road users or removing distractions from the road and so on.

Such is the position of charity to help others in Islam. Rasulullah said, "Whoever wants to be saved by Allah from trouble on the Day of Resurrection, let him make it easy for those who are in trouble." (HR. Muslim).

Now the door to caring, sharing and helping others is wide open. There are our brothers and sisters who are hit by earthquakes, flash floods, landslides, some are in debt and poverty, there are educational facilities that need our help and assistance.

This is our chance to gain His pleasure and heaven by being happy to help others.

Happiness is not a treasure that is in our hands but when we can let go of the burden of others. If now is the time to be happy, then don't delay.
