A hadith narrated by Hakim from Jabir bin Abdillah رضي الله عنه mentions that in the hereafter there will be a servant who has worshiped for 500 years, the worshiper is also invited by Allah سبحانه و تعالى to enter heaven. "O my servant, enter you into heaven because of my mercy", so says Allah in the hadith of the chair.

But there is something in the heart of the worshiper, why did he enter heaven because of God's grace, hasn't he been worshiping for 500 years? "Ya Robbi, why am I not put in heaven because of my deeds?"

Allah سبحانه و تعالى also shows the blessings that he has given to the worshiper, the favor of Allah is weighed against all the acts of worship that he has done, it turns out that the pleasure of seeing from one eye alone has exceeded the 500 years of worship of the worshiper. Finally, the worshiper bowed before God and realized how small the value of his worship was.

There is no reason for a Muslim not to be grateful to Allah, no matter how much worship he does it will not be comparable to the blessings and gifts that have been received from Allah سبحانه و تعالى

Such is the essence of worship, as an expression of gratitude for a servant to his Rob, so performing worship is not only limited to paying off debts and fulfilling obligations.

The Messenger of Allah as a servant guaranteed by Allah سبحانه و تعالى also shows the favors that he has given to the worshiper, the favors of Allah are weighed against all the deeds of worship that he has done, it turns out that the pleasure of seeing from one eye alone has exceeded 500 years of worship. worshiper.

Finally, the worshiper bowed before God and realized how small the value of his worship was. to enter heaven, forgiven all his past and future sins if any. Is an example of gratitude.

Once, his wife asked him why his husband always prayed tahajjud all night, even his feet were swollen from standing for so long. "O Messenger of Allah, has not Allah سبحانه و تعالى forgiven your past and future sins?" Thus Aisyah radhiyallahu'anha asked.

Aisyah hinted to make it harder for worship, after all, Allah's Messenger has guaranteed entry to heaven, all his mistakes, if any, have been forgiven by Allah, and he is the most noble creature on earth. Then why does He still trouble himself with worship all night long?

"Wouldn't it be better if I were a grateful servant of Allah?". Thus replied the Prophet

Thus the Prophet gave an example of the nature of worship is not limited to paying off debts or cleaning oneself from sin.

The essence of worship is not limited to paying off debts or paying off sins. Worship is an expression of gratitude to Allah انه الى.
