Sulaiman bin Yasar was one of the opener of tabi'in in Medina, he was a humble man of jurisprudence. Solomon was a man who was earnest in worship. In addition, he is described as a very handsome figure. Solomon also met a test in a story mentioned about the slander that had befallen Solomon.
One time he went to the market and then he was called by a very beautiful woman "Come here, Solomon." then the woman began to seduce him, sulaiman just stood still while crying loudly every time the woman approached him sulaiman continued to back away while crying loudly. The woman was surprised when she tried to approach Sulaiman again, she backed away and started crying. Seeing Solomon's reaction, the woman finally left him, seeing Solomon sitting and crying, his friend then approached "What are you crying for, Solomon?" Solomon replied "I cried because I was sad for myself."
From the story we should ask? What would we do if we were in Solomon's position? It seems that such a test is very easy for us to meet today, the temptation to commit immorality seems to be lined up neatly in line to be visited one by one, presented in attractive and tempting packaging, some even look like acts that are no longer taboo because of the large number of people who flock to this depravity.
When all kinds of temptations are presented, the big test is how we take care of ourselves. When the temptation manifests in an arc of view that is not yet lawful, lowering our gaze is our endeavor to protect ourselves.
When the test comes dragging in the invitation for adultery, then guarding yourself from it is to refuse with all your might, increase fasting if he is not married or distribute it to his wife if he is married.
When slander comes in the form of wealth from a deceitful but abundant way, qonaah and zuhud are our ways to protect ourselves.
Every temptation there is always an antidote, every test there is always a way out, only our souls choose which direction to lean.
ﷲ really know how strong our efforts are in keeping our intentions and our insistence in fortifying ourselves from various temptations, hopefully it will bear a great reward from the side of ﷲ سبحانه و تعالى.
Rasulullah once said One of the groups that will be shaded on the Day of Judgment later is a young man who is invited to commit immorality by women then he says "Indeed I fear Allah."
Don't we want to be imprinted as human beings where we worship as if we see ﷲ, but if we don't see , ﷲ must see . ﷲ سبحانه و تعالى knows how strong our desire is to take care of ourselves.
"Every temptation has an antidote. Every test there is always a way out. It's up to our souls to choose where to lean. Truly ﷲ سبحانه و تعالى know how strong our efforts are in taking care of ourselves "
