Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha, wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam narrated, "Usually the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam when he wants to go out on a journey, he draws lots between his wives. So, whoever of them draws the lot, it is he who comes out with the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continued his story, "Rasulullah" sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam lottery between us in a war which he participated in. It was my name that came out. I went with the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. This incident was after the verse about hijab was revealed. I was carried in a sedan (a stretcher on a camel's back) and walked with the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam to return from the war.
When it was close to Medina, then one night he gave a signal to leave. At that time I got out of the stretcher past the soldiers to fulfill my needs. When it was over, I returned to the group. When I felt my chest, it turned out that my necklace from Merjan Zhifar was cut off. Then I returned again to look for my necklace, while the group that had brought me was ready to leave. They also took my sabbatical and sent it on my camel which I had been riding. They thought I was in it.
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha say,
“At that time women were generally light, not heavy, and not much meat. They eat very little. Hence, they did not suspect a light flicker when they picked it up and carried it. Besides, I'm still very young. They took the camels and walked. I also found my necklace after the soldiers left. Then I came to their place. It turned out that in that place no one called and answered. Then I mean to where I was at the stop. I assumed that they would lose me and then come back to look for me.”
“While sitting down, my eyes felt an unbearable drowsiness. I fell asleep. Shafwan bin al-Mu'aththal as-Sullami adz-Dzakwani was left behind the soldiers. He walked all night until he came to my place, then he saw the black figure of a person, then he approached me. He recognized me when he saw me. Really, he saw me before the hijab verse came down, I woke up hearing the reading break'her (reading Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un) when he saw me. I cover my face with hijab. By Allah, he did not speak to me and I did not hear a word from his mouth other than speech take a break so he roared his vehicle, then he stepped on the camel's front paw, then I rode it. Next he said guiding the vehicle, so that we could catch up with the soldiers after they had stopped for a while while it was hot in the middle of the day. So, perish those who take advantage of this incident (accusing adultery). The person who magnified this problem was Abdullah bin Ubay bin Salul."
“Then we came to Medina. When we arrived in Medina I was sick for a month. While people spread the words of liars. I don't know about it at all. That's what makes me curious, that in fact I did not see my beloved Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam which I usually see from him when I'm sick. He just came in, then greeted him and said, 'How are you?' That's what made me curious, but I didn't know anything was bad before I left the house."
“Then Umm Mistah and I set off. She is the daughter of Abi Ruhm bin Abdul Muttalib bin Abdi Manaf. His mother was the daughter of Shakhr bin Amr, aunt of Abu Bakr ash-Siddiq radhiyallahu 'anha. His son was named Mistah bin Utsatsah bin Ubbad bin Abdul Muttalib bin Abdu Manaf. Then I and Abu Ruhm's daughter, Umm Mistah, slipped on the woolen clothes she was wearing. Cash he said, 'Woe to Mistah.' Then I said to him, 'How bad is your speech. You reproach a man who took part in the battle of Badr.' He said, 'Have you not heard what he has said?' I asked, 'What did he say?' He also told me about the words of the fake news makers (that Ayesha had committed adultery). I'm getting sicker too."
"When I came home, I said, 'Take me to my parents!'
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
“At that time I wanted to know for sure the news from my parents. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam allowed me to come to my parents. Then I asked my mother, 'O mother! What are people currently talking about?' My mother replied, 'O my daughter! There isn't anything. By Allah, it is rare for a beautiful woman to be loved by her husband while she has a lot of honey but the honey often mentions her disgrace.' Then I said, 'Glory be to Allah! That means people have been talking about this.' So, I cried that night until morning. My tears didn't stop and I didn't sleep at all. Then in the morning I still cry."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
"Then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam call Ali bin Abi Talib radhiyallahu 'anhu and Osama bin Zaid radhiyallahu 'anhu when revelation does not come down immediately. He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ask both of them and ask their opinion about divorcing his wife."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue,
"While Osama radhiyallahu 'anhu give opinion to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam by what he knows about his wife's distance from this act and by what he knows about her love for him. Osama said, 'O Messenger of Allah! They are your wives, according to our knowledge they are just good people."
While Ali bin Abi Talib said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Allah will not give you narrowness. There are still many women besides Aisyah. If you ask a slave girl, she will definitely tell you the truth."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue,
"Then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam call Barirah radhiyallahu 'anhu. He asked, 'O Barirah! Have you seen anything that sent you with the truth. I don't see anything in her that is considered reprehensible more than that she is a young woman who sometimes falls asleep letting her family's dough roll, so that her domestic animals come and eat her dough."
"Then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam stood on the pulpit and said, 'O Muslims! Who is willing to defend me against the accusation of the man who has hurt my family? By Allah, I know nothing about my family except goodness. And they also accused a man who as far as I know is a good person, he did not come to see my family except with me."
"Furthermore Sa'ad bin Mu'adz al-Ansari radhiyallahu 'anhu stood up and said, 'I will defend you, O Messenger of Allah! If he is from the Aus tribe, we will cut off his neck. If he is from among our brethren among the Khazraj, then what you command us, we will surely carry out your order."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
Then Sa'ad bin Ubadah radhiyallahu 'anha stand up. He is the leader of the Khazraj tribe, so what you command us, we will surely carry out your orders."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
Then Sa'ad bin Ubadah radhiyallahu 'anha stand up. He was the leader of the Khazraj tribe. He is a pious man but he is emotional. Then he said to Sa'ad bin Mu'adh radhiyallahu 'anhu, 'You're lying! For the sake of Allah! You will not kill him and will not be able to kill him. If he is from your tribe you would not want to kill him."
Then Usaid bin Hudhair radhiyallahu 'anhu stand up. He was the cousin of Sa'ad bin Mu'adz radhiyallahu 'anhu. He said to Sa'ad bin Ubadah radhiyallahu 'anhu, 'You're lying! For the sake of Allah. We really will kill him. You are a hypocrite and argue in defense of hypocrites. Then there was a commotion between the two tribes, namely Aus and Khazraj so that they almost killed each other even though the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam still on the pulpit. Then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam calm them down until they are silent and the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam I'm also silent myself."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
“That day I cried. My tears kept falling non-stop and I didn't sleep at all. My parents thought that crying could split my heart.”
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue,
"While both of them were sitting beside me while I was crying, suddenly a woman from among the Ansar asked me for permission, so I gave her permission so she sat down crying beside me. While we were still in such a state, suddenly the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam come in then sit down. He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam hasn't sat beside me since the issue came out. And it has been a full month that no revelation has come down regarding this matter of mine. Then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam asked for testimony when he sat down saying, 'Amma ba'du, O Aisha! Indeed, such and such issues have come to me concerning you. If you are indeed clean from these accusations, surely Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will set you free. And if you commit a sin, then ask Allah for forgiveness Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and repent to Him, for indeed a servant who wants to confess his sin and repent, then Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will accept His repentance."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
"When the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam After he finished delivering his words, my tears began to shrink, so that I did not feel a single drop. Then I said to my father, 'Please give the answer to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam on my behalf!' He replied, 'By Allah, I don't know what to say to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.' Then I said to my mother, 'Please convey the answer to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam in my name!' He replied, 'By Allah, I also do not know what to say to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.' Then I said, 'I am a young woman. By Allah, I know that you have heard this news so you keep it in your heart and you confirm it. So, if I tell you that I am free from these accusations, Allah is All-Knowing that I am clean from these accusations, then you will not believe me. And if I confess something that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala know that I am free from it, yet you really believe me. By Allah, I do not find in myself and in you a parable other than that which was said by the Prophet Yusuf Alaihi Salam:
"So only good patience is the best (for me). And to Allah alone ask for His help in what you tell." (Surah Yusuf: 18)
"Then I turned, I lay on my bed."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue the story,
"I Wallahu a'lam when it was free and it was Allah who released me from the issue. However, by Allah, I never thought that there would be a revelation that would always be read regarding this matter of mine. Really my problem is too trivial to be said by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala be something that will always be read. Actually what I hope for is the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam dreaming in his sleep which in the dream Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala acquit me of the charges."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue,
"By Allah, Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam haven't had time to move from his seat and no one from my family has come out until Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala revealed revelation to His Prophet. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam feel heavy when receiving revelation. To the extent that he was sweating like pearls even though it was the rainy season. This is because of the weight of the revelation that was revealed to him."
Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continue,
Cash, trouble has disappeared from the heart of the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. He smiled happily. The first sentence he said was, 'Be happy Aisha! God Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has set you free.' Then my mother said to me, 'Stand to the Prophet.' I said, 'By Allah, I will not stand up to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and I will not praise except to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. It was He who sent down the revelation that set me free. God Subhanahu wa Ta'ala sent down the following verse:
"Indeed, those who bring false news are from among you too. Don't think that fake news is bad for you, even if it's good for you. Every one of them gets a recompense for the sins he has committed. And whoever of them takes the biggest share in the broadcasting of false news for him will be a great punishment (also).(Surah An-Nur: 11)
Up to ten verses in total."
"When God Subhanahu wa Ta'ala has sent down this verse which explains my freedom, then Abu Bakr radhiyallahu 'anha -he is the one who provides a living for Mistah bin Utsatsah radhiyallahu 'anha because there are still kinship relations and because he is a poor person- said, 'By Allah, I will not provide for him anymore after what he said to Aisha.' Then Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala sent down the following verse:
"And let not those who have advantages and spaciousness among you swear that they will (not) give (help) to (his) relatives, the poor and those who emigrated in the way of Allah, and let them forgive and graceful. Don't you want Allah to forgive you? And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surat an-Nur: 22)
"Then Abu Bakr" radhiyallahu 'anha said, 'All right. By Allah, I really like it when Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala forgive me.' Then he returned to provide a living for Mistah, which he had always provided for. In fact he said, 'I will not stop providing for him forever.' Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha continued, 'Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam asked Zainab bint Jahsy radhiyallahu 'anha, wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam about my problem. He said, 'O Zainab, what do you know or what do you see?' He replied, 'O Messenger of Allah! I take care of my hearing and sight. By Allah, all I know is he's good.' Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha said, 'She is among the wives of the Prophet' sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam who rivals me in beauty, but Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala protect it with wara'. While his sister, Hamnah bint Jahsy radhiyallahu 'anha against him. Then perish those who are perishing."
"Know that in this hadith about false stories there are several benefits, namely:
First, the obligation to draw lots between several wives when they want to take some of them away.
Second, it is permissible for a husband to travel with his wife, take his wife on a journey to war, women ride sekedu, and men serve women while traveling.
Third, it is permissible for women to go out to meet their needs without the husband's permission. This includes exceptions.
Fourth, a person who lifts a woman on camels and other vehicles is not allowed to talk to the woman unless she is a mahram unless there is a need. Because, friends only bring sekedup. They didn't talk to the person they thought was in the twinkling.
Fifth, helping people who need help, helping people who are separated from their entourage, rescuing missing people, and glorifying people who have positions as Shafwan did. radhiyallahu 'anhu.
Sixth, maintain good manners with non-mahram women, especially when in a quiet place with her in an emergency, either in the field or in other places as Shafwan did radhiyallahu 'anha, i.e. roaring the camel without speaking and without asking. Besides, he should walk in front of the woman, not beside her, nor behind her.
Toseven, it is sunnah to read istirja, namely reading inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un when a disaster strikes, whether in the field of religion or the world, whether it befalls yourself or others.
Ninth, it is sunnah to cover up rumors about someone from the person concerned if there is no point in telling the issue, just as they hide the issue from Ayesha radhiyallahu 'anha for a month. After that, Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha I just heard about it because there was an incident, namely Ummi Misthah's statement criticizing Misthah.
TenthIt is sunnah for a husband to be gentle and to interact well with his wife. And if there is something that can hinder his relationship with his wife and so on, then the husband reduces his gentle attitude and so on so that his wife understands that something is going on, so that the wife asks the cause, then he can eliminate it.
EleventhIf a woman wants to go out to meet her needs, then it is sunnah for her to be accompanied by another woman who can make her comfortable and not disturbed by others.
Totwo mercyA wife is not allowed to go to her parents' house except with her husband's permission.
Third mercyIt is sunnah for the husband to ask for opinions from his closest people, family and friends regarding the problems he faces.
Tofour mercy, the release of Aisha radhiyallahu 'anha of the lies he was accused of. He has been liberated with certainty based on the text of the Koran. So, if there is someone who doubts it, wal-iyadzu billah, then he becomes an infidel and an apostate based on the consensus of the Muslims.
Tofive mercyAbu Bakr's virtues radhiyallahu 'anhu as stated in the word of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala;
"And do not those who have advantages and spaciousness among you swear that they will (not) give (help) to (his) relatives, the poor and those who emigrated in the way of Allah, and let them accept 'Forgive and be merciful. Don't you want Allah to forgive you? And Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Surat an-Nur: 22)
Tosix mercyIt is sunnah to stay in touch even with bad people and it is sunnah to forgive those who do bad things.
Seventeenth"A person who has taken an oath and sees that there is something better than following his oath, then it is sunnah for him to do something better and pay kaffarat for his oath."
(Muslim Sharh the work of Imam An-Nawawi with changes).
