Ahlus Sunnah Believe in Heaven and Hell

Indeed, Heaven and Hell have been created by Allah Azza wa Jalla. Both are eternal beings who will not perish. Heaven is provided for Allah's guardians who are pious, while Hell is a punishment for those who disobey Him except those who receive His mercy.

The pleasures of Heaven cannot be imagined by humans, as well as the torment of Hell is a great, very terrible and very terrible torment. Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah have agreed that Heaven and Hell are creatures of Allah who have been created. Then came the firqah Mu'tazilah and Qadariyah who denied that opinion. They argue that both (Heaven and Hell) will be created by Allah on the Day of Resurrection. This opinion is clearly misguided because it denies clear arguments. [1]

The verses of the Qur'an and the hadiths of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam explain that Heaven has been prepared for the pious أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ and Hell has been prepared for the disbelievers أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِيْنَ . This shows that Heaven and Hell have already been created.

Regarding Paradise, Allah Ta'ala says:

"And hasten to seek forgiveness from your Lord and find Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, which is prepared for the pious." [Ali 'Imran: 133]

And regarding Hell, Allah the Exalted said:

"And protect yourselves from the fire of Hell, which has been prepared for the disbelievers." [Ali 'Imran: 131]

The verses that explain that people who enter Heaven will stay in it forever, including:

The Word of Allah Ta'ala:

“Their recompense with their Lord is Paradise 'Adn beneath which rivers flow; they abide in it forever…” [Al-Bayyinah: 8]

Meanwhile, among the verses that describe the eternity of the disbelievers in Hell is the word of Allah Ta'ala:

"Verily Allah has cursed the disbelievers and provided for them a blazing fire (Hell), they will abide in it forever, they have no protector and no helper." [Al-Ahzaab: 64-65]

The disbelievers and hypocrites will go to Hell and stay in it forever. As for the people of the Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam who enter Hell because of the great sins and immorality they have committed, then they will not remain in Hell. They will come out of Hell with the grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala and the intercession of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam.

The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:

"A person will come out of Hell in whose heart there is still a dzarrah of faith in his heart." [2]

Also the words of him sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:

"Indeed a people from my ummah will come out of Hell because of my intercession, they are called jahannamiyyun (the former inhabitants of Hell Hell)." [3]
