
linguistically taharah means Holy and clean, whether it is pure from outward defilements or from inner defilements in the form of despicable traits and actions. Meanwhile, in terms of fiqh, taharah is: purify oneself from najis and hadats that hinder prayer and other similar acts of worship with water or earth or stones. Self-purification here is not limited to the body but also includes clothing and space.
