Mutiara Perkataan Para Salaf – Bab 90; Timbangan Terbesar

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Diriwayatkan dari Sufyan bin ‘Uyainah رحمه الله, bahwa beliau berkata:
“Sesungguhnya Rasulullah ﷺ adalah timbangan terbesar. Segala sesuatu diukur berdasarkan akhlak, perjalanan hidup (sirah), dan petunjuk beliau. Apa yang sesuai dengannya, maka itu adalah kebenaran. Dan apa yang bertentangan dengannya, maka itu adalah kebatilan.“
(Al-Jami’ li Akhlaq al-Rawi wa Adab as-Sami’, karya Al-Khatib Al-Baghdadi, hal. 8).

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله juga berkata hal serupa:
“Beliau ﷺ adalah timbangan yang paling adil, di mana akhlak, ucapan, dan perbuatan diukur berdasarkan akhlak, ucapan, dan perbuatan beliau. Beliau juga adalah pembeda yang nyata, yang dengannya pengikut petunjuk dapat dibedakan dari pengikut kesesatan.“
