Eid al-Fitr is actually an expression of gratitude for the success of the believer in restraining his lust, including hunger and thirst during the day for a whole month.

Eid al-Fitr can be called the feast of victory. On that day, the believers who have performed the worship of Ramadan won the victory by being reborn into a pure and strong-hearted human nature.
