The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said..
"Shall I show you the practice that leads to paradise and elevates degrees, i.e. completing ablution even when you are not praying, taking more steps to the mosque and waiting for prayer, to wait for the next prayer time."
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said this is: Arriba , which means binding good deeds.
Companions of Abdullah bin Mas'ud, he is among the companions who became translators of the Qur'an. Abdullah Bin Mas'ud's recitation is the same as when it was revealed. Whoever wants to read the Qur'an in the exact voice when it was revealed, then read it as Abdullah Bin Mas'ud recited it.
So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam once asked Abdullah bin Mas'ud to read the Qur'an in front of him. So Ibn Mas'ud read the letter Annisaa'
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam cried when he heard the reading of Ibn Mas'ud. Many compliments were given by friends to Ibn Mas'ud. Ibn Mas'ud once said...
Each of you is a guest, and the property you have is a loan, a temporary facility. And whose name is a guest who will soon leave, and whose name is a loan that must be returned.
HR At Tabrani and Ibn Saibah, from Ibn Mas'ud.
Life in this world is a temporary life. After death, humans will be resurrected. The belief of the polytheists that there is no resurrection day. Unbelievers also believe that they will not be resurrected.
If there is no hereafter then it is the same as God allowing injustice, because in this world there are many who commit injustice but are not caught by the authorities. In fact, there is no injustice that is not caught by God. If you are not judged in this world, then in the hereafter Allah will be judged. Allah continues to count it even though people forget it. The slightest injustice will not be forgotten by Allah Azza Wa Jalla.
From Ibn Mas'ud's explanation that a guest is temporary, this was once said by
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam,
"The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam once held Ibn Mas'ud's shoulder, saying, be in the world like a stranger or just a person who wants to pass."
Those whose names are foreigners, of course, do not feel at home living in other countries. People who want to pass by, of course their minds want to come back soon, to be able to meet their families, their possessions. Such is our relationship with heaven.
Realize that this world is a temporary shelter, not a permanent place, and actually Adam was sent down to earth to undergo a test, wanting to return to his original place, namely in heaven.
Hasan Al Basri's advice to Umar Bin Abdul Aziz
Ibn Mas'ud said that property is a loan, the loan means temporary and must be returned.
HR Abu Hurairah Radhliahuanhu, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,
I will convey a few sentences, who is able to practice it, or teach people who will practice it..
Abu Hurairah said he could, then the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam mentioned 5 principles, then he said:
1. Try to avoid the haram, then you will become the most skilled in worship.
There is a woman who is diligent in worship but likes to hurt her neighbors, said the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, she is an expert in hell,
On the other hand, there is a person who is not an expert in worship but has never harmed his neighbors, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said then he is an expert in paradise.
2. Always feel happy with the distribution of sustenance given by Allah, then you will become the richest human being.
The essence of being rich is not a lot of wealth, but rich in one heart is rich in heart. A man who is qona'ah is a man who, if given anything, feels enough. If we are qona'ah then we are like kings.
Humans in responding to the pleasures given by God there are 3 levels, namely:
- Be grateful
- Ordinary, not grateful.
- Disgracefully, this is the worst.
If a guest does not appreciate the food served by the host, at least don't underestimate it.
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:
"Look in the affairs of the world to the lesser."
This is in order to keep the mind so that we do not underestimate what we have. In matters of the Hereafter, look to the higher ones.
The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said:
"There are no two treasures that humans have, one is given material favors, the other is given non-material favors (given knowledge)."
It means, we can zad the 2 kinds earlier.
Hasan Al Basri advises, if you hear that someone beats you in world affairs, beat him in the affairs of the hereafter.
3. And do good to your neighbors and you will become a good believer.
4. Give the best attitude to others as you would like to be treated the same by others.
Disgraceful morals such as cheating, dzolim to others and so on, if we do not want to be oppressed by others, then do not oppress others. Noble morals such as honesty and others, if we want to be treated honestly by others, then be honest with others.
5. Don't laugh a lot, laugh a lot makes the heart hard.
In our society, Laughter is considered as entertainment, so who can make other people laugh, get great achievements, and be contested, such as Stand up comedy.
Subhan Allah..
