The Muslim Life Fest & Trade event entered its third day, Sunday (28/8/2022). In the previous two days, the halal product business and sharia industry event which took place at ICE BSD successfully attracted the attention of more than 25 thousand visitors.
The enthusiasm of visitors who come to the Muslim Life Fest is very high. The crowd was seen in the long queue at the entrance of the bazaar area since early in the morning on the last two days of the exhibition. Director of Lima Events, Deddy Andu said that this exhibition was packed with various activities that were more family friendly.
At Muslim Life Fest, visitors can not only shop for halal products, but can also participate in various other activities such as sharing parenting with child observers and enjoying various games at the Kids Corner, to archery and horse riding activities.
“This event is expected to be able to generate the people's economy through exhibition activities. Alhamdulillah, we can see that the enthusiasm of the visitors who came with their families to this exhibition was very high. Of course we hope that the Muslim Life Fest will be even bigger in the future,” said Deddy Andu.
On the other hand, the shopping enthusiasm of visitors at the Muslim Life Fest was also felt by the exhibitors of MSMEs, halal products and sharia economics. Some booths are almost never empty of visitors. One of the stands that is always crowded is the Khadijah stand which provides a variety of Islamic clothing such as robes and khimar.
Retno Nurhidayati (43), Founder and Owner of Khadijah Indonesia admitted that she was greatly helped by the Muslim Life Fest exhibition. During the two-day exhibition, Khadijah's products have sold more than 50 percent of the 3,000 stocks provided.

“This is my third time participating in the Muslim Life Fest and Muslim Life Fair activities. The first time I joined Istora, Alhamdulillah, the sales were very good. Then when I joined the exhibition in Jogja, sales had decreased. Then to BSD, I see that the committee is very ready and the sales here are also good, the visitors are busy, "he said.
For Retno, participating in exhibitions such as the Muslim Life Fest is a good opportunity to increase branding and find new customers. Moreover, sales of Khadijah's products have been using the agency system. "So customers of other brands can know Khadijah and customers of Khadijah can know other brands," he said.
He also targets that during the 3 days of participating in the Muslim Life Fest exhibition, he can earn around Rp 350 million. "Within two days, Alhamdulillah, half of the target was achieved," he said.
The same thing was conveyed by Reza Pratama Nanda (30) from UKM Mazkana Kids who sells children's books and Islamic parenting books. Reza said there were many visitors, especially parents who brought their children to buy books.

“We sell children's books for 0-6 years old and parenting books. During the two days of the exhibition, I didn't expect it to be this busy. It's like a market share that is not specific to books but can earn a decent amount of income. Even though this is the first time we have participated in the Muslim Life Fest,” he said.
According to him, the Muslim Life Fest exhibition is a very good activity. Not only facilitating MSME actors to increase their business, but also being a forum for those who want to seek scientific programs and stay in touch with fellow Muslims.
He also hopes that activities like this will continue to exist every year to help MSMEs. At this exhibition, Mazkana Kids gave special offers to visitors in the form of big discounts for some of its products.
“The best-selling books are children's books. The board book became one of the most popular in their home. Usually the mothers would ngincernya children's books. Books that contain mostly pictures rather than text are like that," he said.

In addition to fashion and books, culinary MSME actors also feel very helped by the Muslim Life Fest activity. Mela, a culinary businessman at Dimsum 49, said that this exhibition will benefit all parties, both visitors and SMEs.
“The event is good, the visitors are also crowded. SMEs are helped, visitors can also participate in community activities, talk shows and other interesting activities. So it is beneficial for all parties," he said.
Islamic boarding school go export
The holding of the Muslim Life Fest 2022 also presents stands for Islamic boarding schools fostered by the Department of Economics and Sharia Finance of Bank Indonesia (DEKS BI), IPB University, and the Nudira Learning Center. This stand provides organic chili products with a low pesticide residue level of 0.01 ppm (parts per million).
Al Muzaini, as the Leader of the Modern Islamic Boarding School in Bukit Shafa Cianjur, West Java, who is one of the participants of the DEKS BI Chili Export Champion program, said this organic chili was produced using hydroponic technology in the Green House area.

“Yesterday, we had a trial export to Japan and Alhamdulillah it was well received because the pesticide residue was 0.01 ppm. Maybe this is the only Islamic boarding school product from Indonesia that can be accepted in the Japanese market,” he said.
He said the demand for organic chili from Japan was quite large. However, the production of chilies with low pesticide residues in Indonesia still needs to be encouraged to increase the quantity.
According to him, the use of technology using the Green House in planting chilies will improve the quality of chili products, have low pesticide residues, and can produce chilies at any time without being affected by the weather.
According to him, the Chili Export Champion program can also revive the pesantren economy. Moreover, so far pesantren is an educational institution that is in direct contact with the community. “If the pesantren can rise up, the surrounding community will follow suit. The more Islamic boarding schools that are raised from the economic side, the surrounding community can be more prosperous," he said.
Muslim Life Trade, Opportunity to Find the Right Partner
Fazli Haris bin Ibrahim, a Muslim Life Trade zone participant from Malaysia, said that this event is good as a place to find potential business partners and network. Moreover, his party will also hold a similar event in October 2022 and invite Indonesian SMEs there.
“We want to expand our products internationally, including in Indonesia. And we are also working with Indonesian businesses so that their products can enter the Malaysian market,” he said.
The plan is that the exhibitor from Malaysia will also expand the modern coffee franchise network and market Indonesian fashion products to Malaysia.
The same thing was conveyed by Iyadh Al Baghdadi, a Muslim Life Trade participant from Egypt. He said he wanted to establish more intense communication with SMEs in Indonesia to market their products, especially in halal coffee and perfume products. "Muslim Life Trade is an opportunity for us to find the right business partners in Indonesia," he said.
