Many people think that Abdullah Roy is his birth name. Please note that the real name of Ustadz Dr. Abdullah Roy is Roy Graphic Upgrading. He was born in Bantul in 1980. His address is Pontianak, West Kalimantan. A father of 5 children (Maryam, Yahya, Imran, Zakariya, and Isa).

Ustadz Dr. Abdullah Roy is also the founder of HSI Abdullah Roy stands for Halaqah Scientific Lineage Abdullah Roy. HSI Abdullah Roy is one of the Islamic Aqidah Learning Programs through a WhatsApp group that is nurtured and mentored by Ustadz Abdullah Roy, MA.

The learning system of the Halaqah Silsilah Ilmiyyah Abdullah Roy, namely the subject matter from the Halaqah Silsilah Ilmiyyah will be delivered between 06.00 - 09.00 WIB every day by the HSI Group Admin who has been appointed by Ustadz Abdullah Roy, MA. Then, the designated Admin Group, who will later post the Audio Halaqah Silsilah Ilmiyyah lesson. After being delivered every 5 Halaqah, there will be an evaluation to help muroja'ah and help understand the material.

At the end of the genealogy, a final exam will be held to determine the extent to which participants understand the material that has been presented. Participants who pass the exam will be given a shahadah or official certificate by Ustadz Abdullah Roy, MA as a sign of participation in the Abdullah Roy HSI program. Currently, HSI Abdullah Roy has reached the 172nd batch since its establishment on September 10, 2013.

Before studying in the city of the Prophet, Ustadz Abdullah Roy studied at one of the sunnah Islamic boarding schools in the city of Gresik. The pesantren is the pesantren/Ma'had Al-Furqon Al Islami.

Ustadz Abdullah Roy is an alumnus of Al Furqon Islamic Boarding School. Where this pesantren was founded by a senior Ustadz Sunnah named Aunur Rofiq Ghufron. This Islamic boarding school was first established on land in Srowo village, Sidayu sub-district, Gresik Regency, East Java, which was a grant from the caretaker's parents covering an area of 850 m2. The first building was built with an area of 7 x 18m2. It was built with funds from caregivers and donations from the community and the recitation congregation which was cared for by Ustadz Aunur Rofiq bin Ghufron, Lc who was an alumni of Muhammad bin Su'ud University Riyadh KSA in 1982.

After returning from Saudi Arabia, Ustadz Aunur Rofiq was initially active in teaching and preaching in the Kediri area, East Java. However, in early 1989, he was called upon to spread the knowledge he had acquired in his own homeland in Srowo Village, Kec. Sidayu, Kab. Gresik, East Java. On July 13, 1989 or 10 Dzulhijah 1409 H, a meeting was held in the boarding school building between the founder of the Islamic boarding school and the community leaders of Srowo Village, Kec. Sidayu, Gresik who discussed education and the status of Islamic Boarding Schools. So it was agreed with the establishment of Madrasah Diniyah al-Furqon as the forerunner of PP. Al Furqon.
