Dr. Firanda Andirja Abidin, Lc., MA. is a preacher and missionary in Indonesia who is a regular lecturer at the Prophet's Mosque, Medina, Saudi Arabia. He is also one of the teaching staff at the Dirasat Islamiyah Imam Syafi'i High School Jember. Besides that, he is also active as a resource person on Radio Rodja and actively participates in several grand recitations in Indonesia.
His full name is Firanda Andirja Abidin. He was born in 1979 at Dr. Hospital. Sutomo, Surabaya. His father's name was Abidin from the Bugis tribe (Sengkang) and his mother's name was Suenda from Surabaya. Only a week old he was invited to migrate by his parents to Sorong Papua. So he grew and grew up to finish high school education in the city.
After graduating from high school in 1998, he continued his undergraduate education at the engineering faculty, majoring in chemical engineering, UGM. Thank God he was accepted without a test. But he only underwent his lectures in Chemical Engineering for about a year. He did not finish his studies because he was more interested in studying religion. So he stayed at Ponpes Jamilurrahman Bantul, Jogjakarta, for about 1.5 years. In 2000 he took part in the cycle of new student admissions tests held by lecturers at the Islamic University of Medina in Lombok. In the cycle he was ranked 3rd out of all participants from all over the archipelago.
Since 2000 he has started to fill Islamic studies in mosques around the UGM campus, such as the Pogung Dalangan mosque, the Pogung Raya mosque, the Siswa Graha mosque, and the prayer room at the UGM Faculty of Engineering. He filled the study in the lecture hall in front of the students of the Faculty of Economics and also the Faculty of Medicine. He also took the time to fill out studies outside the city of Jogja, such as in the city of Wates, Muntilan, and also the city of Sorong, Papua.
He married on August 17, 2001 with Rosmala Dewi Arifuddin (1980), and from this marriage he was blessed with 2 sons and 3 daughters;

Alhamdulillah with Allah's permission and grace, at the end of August 2001 he went to Medina to study syar'i knowledge.
His education in Medina is as follows.
- For a year he deepened the language. (Syu'batul Lughoh al-'Arobiyah)
- S1 for 4 years at the Hadith faculty, graduated with cumloud predicate.
- S2 for 4 years majoring in dawah faculty and ushuluddin majoring in aqidah with a thesis:
الإِسْلاَمِ اِبْنِ الشُّبُهَاتِ التَّفْصِيْلِيَّةِ لُلْمُعَطِّلَةِ الصِّفَاتِ الذَّاتِيَّةِ
(The answer of Syaikul Islam Ibn Taimiyyah rahimahullah to the detailed doubts of the rejecters of attributes related to the attributes of Allah adz-dzaatyah).
His supervisor in writing the thesis is Prof. Dr As-Shaykh Abdurrozzaq al-Badr al-'Abbad. He graduated with summa cum laude
- S3 for 5 years majoring in Aqidah with a dissertation entitled:
اِسْتِدْلَالَاتِ اةِ التَّعَدُّدِيَّةِ الدِّيْنِيَّةِ النُّصُوْصِ الشَّرْعِيَّةِ
(Destroying the arguments of the preachers of pluralism who postulated with the Qur'an and Sunnah) His supervisor in writing his dissertation is Dr. Abdul Majid Masy'abi. He graduated on September 25, 2016 with summa cum laude grades.
His teachers (who knew him) included:
- Shaykh Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbad (the great scholar of the city of Medina). He studied with Shaykh Abdul Muhsin for about 5 years at the Prophet's Mosque.
- Prof. Dr. Shaykh Abdurozaq al-Abbad (Teacher of the Prophet's Mosque), who was his teacher when he was in S1, S2, and S3.
- Prof. Dr. Shaykh Ibrahim Ar-Ruhaily (Teacher of the Prophet's Mosque), who was his teacher during S1 and S3
- Prof. Dr. Shaykh Sholih bin Abdil Aziz Sindi (Teacher of the Prophet's Mosque), who was his aqidah teacher when he was S1
- And many other lecturers.
Since 2012 he has been given the mandate by the Government of Saudi Arabia to deliver lectures in Indonesian at the Prophet's Mosque for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and Indonesian residents living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
