Background
One of the other mosques in the city – UK is a mosque Syed Shah Mustafa, having his address at 16 Crown Terrace, Aberdeen AB11 6HD, UK. This mosque is a small building next to an old church located right in the middle of Aberdeen.
When visiting December 2022, the mosque was locked manually and only opened when it was time for prayer. The available facilities are only limited to prayer rooms and ablution places, and the Koran and several reading books about Islam are available.
There are no special scheduled regular activities, as this seems to be just a kind of small mosque but if needed can provide janaza services and funerals can be arranged through this mosque. For Muslims in the UK, services for funeral services and funerals are not as comfortable as in a country with a predominantly Muslim population. This is in addition to having to comply with local government regulatory procedures and of course must be in accordance with sharia.
With a fairly high cost, if converted into rupiah, it can reach the range 40 million to 100 million, however providers of this type of service are still limited in the UK. According to the mosque caretaker at the time, a young man aged around 25 years, this mosque was Sunni, but there was no clear information on exactly when this mosque was founded, by whom and started operating. To be sure, this mosque is also known by another name, namely The Crown Terrace Mosque.
