WHY DAKWAH TERRACE & THE PURPOSE OF DAKWAH TERRACE
The name Teras Da'wah was chosen because the word Teras is more flexible and open, this word is simpler and not binding. Preaching or conducting a study does not have to be in the mosque, from the terrace of the house you can too, and precisely because that is what makes people interested. We hope that with this name, the 'lay' in matters of religion can study Islamic knowledge and not feel inferior, rigid, and can feel comfortable to study Islam kaffah. One of the other goals of the Da'wah Terrace is to serve as a unifying place for Muslims to cross-harokah.
WHO IS INVOLVED IN THE TERRACE OF DAKWAH
In the beginning, there were only 3 people who moved the Terrace of Da'wah from Nitikan (concept section, publication section, & event section). After using social media to make general publications, in 2013 one by one many joined from various backgrounds and regions in Jogjakarta. Alhamdulillah, after the first working meeting at the beginning of 2014, there were 40 members of the Dakwah Terrace.
ACTIVITIES OF DAKWAH TERRACE
– Regular reading every Wednesday at 18:00 – 20:30 WIB
– Recite AMIDA (Brothers and Young Umi) every Friday afternoon at 16:00 – 18:00 WIB
- Management and distribution of zakat, infaq, waqf & alms (Sedekah Terrace)
– Monthly Tablighi Akbar
- Mobility of Da'wah Cars (guidance to fostered villages, distribution of alms to minority areas, pick-up and drop-off for ustadz, etc.)
– Tahfidz for Children & Brothers (Tahfidz Terrace)
– Training & Training Skills
– TD Archery Club (archery practice for da'wah)
THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DAKWAH TERRACE
One year running, Teras Da'wah has been active since 2014. Thank God, now there are around 100-300 regular study congregations. And for Tabligh Akbar 500-1,500 people. Thank God Teras Da'wah has fostered villages in the Muntilan area, namely in Juwono Hamlet, Muntilan, Central Java and in Nanggulan Kulonprogo. We also try to synergize with other da'wah institutions or organizations, in order to create cross-harokah Islamic unity.
THE HOPE OF THE DAKWAH TERRACE
Able to foster the community around Nitikan in particular and Yogyakarta in general, and able to provide solutions for the study of Islamic science in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. The hope in the future is that the Da'wah Terrace is one of the pioneers of inter-harokah community unity and an inspiration for the Da'wah movement in the archipelago, that da'wah can start from a simple place but can provide something meaningful.
