Andalusia Islamic Center (AIC) exists because of its concern for the big problems of the Indonesian nation and Muslims which are dominated by poverty, educational backwardness and low morality both at the bureaucratic and private levels. We hope that with all the shortcomings, Andalusia Islamic Center (AIC) can become an Oasis of Spiritual, Intellectual and financial empowerment for the people based on the noble spiritual values of Islam.
The mosque and the Islamic Center complex were initiated by the Tazkia Foundation led by M. Syafii Antonio (he is a convert who is an expert in sharia economics). On the website tazkia.ac.id, he said that the construction of the Andalusia Islamic Center was inspired by the triumph of the civilization of the Islamic caliphate in Andalusia. In addition to the prosperity of the people in the region at that time, the success of producing thousands of Muslim scientists in various fields was a major inspiration.
AIC is expected to be a forum for education and enlightenment for Muslims in Indonesia, especially in Jadebotabek. Its existence, as a spiritual and intellectual oasis based on cool, peaceful, friendly, progressive Islamic values, encourages economic and business progress as part of worship, and empowers people with the perspective of rahmatan lil 'aalamiin.
